Almost every day of the week there is an opportunity to meet together in small groups. We've compiled a listing of our current small groups, their focus and location. Please prayerfully consider exploring a group (or two)! Unless noted, all groups are currently running and are open to anyone who wishes to join.

WOMEN AT WORK

Women at Work is an early morning, theology discussion group based upon readings by classic Christian authors. This summer we will be studying William Law's, A Serious Call to a Devout and Holy Life.  No childcare will be provided.

ORANGE STREET

A diverse group of twenty and thirty-somethings (single and married) come together to eat, laugh, study the Scriptures, and pray together. In the midst of our time we look to grow together in the gospel and grow out into the lives of those around us. Come join us as we see how Paul widens his heart to love the Corinthian church when they didn’t always do the same in return. We’d like to be generationally diverse as well, so please feel welcome to join us.

PROSPECT HILL

Our group is made up of singles and couples; students, parents, and professionals. We usually begin with about 20 minutes of fellowship, followed by an hour where we study and discuss the Bible passage, then half an hour of praying for one another, ending by 9:30. Room and toys for children.

The Challenges of Womanhood will consume us this year as we consider the ages, cultures, circumstances and relationships with God of twelve women of the Bible.  Join us Wednesday September 10 for dinner at 6 pm at Elizabeth Lopez's home, 616 Prospect Street, New Haven as we launch our study.

The mission of our women's group includes transforming us, strengthening our unity in the church body and caring for one another.  We will begin on Wednesday evening September 10 with a kick-off pot luck dinner at 6 pm. at Elizabeth Lopez's home, 616 Prospect Street. On September 17 we begin with food and fellowship at 6:45 and start our study, The Challenges of Womanhood, written by Diana Shick at 7:15. The study is in conjunction with the classic book, Her Name is Woman, by Gien Karssen. There is great variety in the circumstances, social status, cultures and ages of the twelve women we will learn about, yet we will find that their attitude toward God is what matters most. MEN

A gathering of men meeting for fellowship and joy in the Lord. We meet together for 90 minutes of Bible study, fellowship, and prayer. We are an intergenerational group of men, from students to retirees, who long to grow in godliness together and spur one another on to take hold of God's grace for our lives. We are presently studying the book of Luke to focus on the life of Jesus.This study meets concurrently with the Teen Youth Group so that dads may join us. Newcomers are always welcome!

EAST ROCK

A small group concentrating on studying individual books of the Bible while seeking to build a community that fosters spiritual growth through accountability and encouragement.  Our group has a wide range of members including graduate students, professionals, young and old, and diverse set of nationalities. We meet on Wednesdays for fifteen minutes of song, an hour of bible study, and forty-five minutes of sharing/prayer. We are eager to have new members join us as we seek to live out the great commission.

WHITNEYVILLE

MEN AT WORK

Men at Work is a men's group, with about 6-8 guys who meet for breakfast, bible study, prayer on Friday mornings in the fellowship hall. This fall we'll be studying the book of Hebrews, to prepare our minds and hearts for the Sunday sermons. Come dig in with us! We begin at 7:00 am and end by 8:15.

BEAVER HILL

This is an intergenerational group, suited for those who need to sleep early!  We spend our time together in fellowship, bible study, and prayer for one another.  We have been studying the Psalms this summer, and will move to a new book (2 Corinthians?) in a few weeks.  We meet in a home with room for kids, so bring them along if that is your stage of life!  Newcomers are welcome.
