Helping the Needy...
Night Runners is Trinity's outreach to the homeless and is always open to new volunteers! No experience is necessary, but anyone who is interested in volunteering should contact Pastor Greg Hendrickson so he can go over some important guidelines with you and answer any questions you might have.
If you’re wondering what is Night Runners, here’s what we do:
1. Visiting Columbus House (local homeless shelter).
We visit Columbus House (a homeless shelter for about 100 adult men & women) once a week to build relationships. Being homeless can be a lonely experience and we come to offer a listening ear. We also share the hope that we have in Christ, we invite people to church, and we help people with their practical needs as we are able. In the process God humbles us and teaches us more about himself. We go every Wednesday evening (except the first Wednesday of the month when there is a schedule conflict at Columbus House).
2. Rides to Church on Sundays.
We provide rides from the shelter to church on Sunday evenings so that people in the homeless shelter can hear God's word and experience His grace in a community of believers. If you want to help, contact Pastor Greg.
